As social and emotional learning becomes more and more mainstream and increasingly integrated into the daily fabric of the school day it is imperative that teachers understand how to use trauma-informed mindfulness practices to support their students. This session will explore: How stress and trauma affect the brain, how students respond to trauma, practices that teachers can use to support students and how to modify present practices to insure they are trauma sensitive.
