Student panel of 5 students with my me as moderator. My classroom is structured such that I give almost no homework at all, and I am still able to assess and give meaningful practice. I want to empower teachers to consider the impact homework has on students and their families. It is possible to give meaningful practice and assess without overloading students outside of school. My students applied to serve on the panel and act as representatives to facilitate conversation about the impact of homework on student lives. I will be there to speak about my experience and to moderate conversation between my students and teachers.
